I have been on the same treadmill, as rightly pointed out a long list of postponed projects are back, but still a lot of work I was busy with us automated. Iam spending a lot more time now reading and writing on substack and finding newer problems and newer avenues. I think it's a habit, the brain has got used to stimulation and problem solving. I had run of battery today and there was no power so today I went on a date with my son for the first time in a decade we had dinner and then a horror movie. I am now trying to get back to swimming, cycling and renewing my gym membership all of these after half a decade thanks to ai tools.
Excellent perspective ....As a not so keen user of AI yet,i wonder if so much more is getting done through AI ....and by so many people,who will consume all that output???
I.e. doesn't the consumer of this huge volume of output have only finite time to consume the creative work ????
At home i have multiple OTTs...prime,hotstar zee5,youtube,regional OTTs....yet i can barely spend 1 -2 hours on any day on anyone of these...My leisure time gets divided between reading,listening to music/ podcasts,watching a series....the total time available to consume all the creative 'AI generated output' remains exactly the same.Infact,sometimes i suffer ' leisure fatigue !!!!!'.
With AI so much entertainment gets generated now...at some cost,but does it/ will it ever get consumed or we will have virtual landfills/ cloud fills that stink !!!!
